Looks like they took the front storage compartments off the 2012 500s... Wonder why? I love mine. Price also went back up to 6,999$ (i only payed 5,999) for mine :) SCORE!

I have to disagree

Quote:
NEW! Integrated front storage with 6.5 gal/24.6 liter capacity, a 21% increase in volume vs. Model Year 2011 front box

Another key feature
Quote:
Improved radiator location raised up more than 3-inches/7.6 cm and angled forward for better mud protection

Here is 1 for $6156

just bought a 2012 500 H.O. Polaris Pursuit Camo LE, has the front storage for $6699 frt and pdi included. Polaris prices are hard to pass up right now. Change of plans ended up with 2011 500 HO Touring, was a $100 less too.

Several of my friends have older ones; no serious issues. The 500 HOs are fine, avoid the 550 and 850 XPs, it seems that those are the most troublesome.

The sky is the limit, you could go all out and buy a Can Am 1000 XMR or stick within your budget and buy a 500 HO PoPo and afford a few upgrades like tires and still have money for riding and repairs, beer, food, shelter, insurance, licence: you get my point. There are lots of them out there because the price is good.

As for me, I prefer Yamaha and Can Am.
